Jonathan Casper Strauch is a Berlin based saxophonist and teacher.
He appreciates the diversity of musical ideas and backgrounds and believes in the mutual inspiration of different aesthetics. He likes it when music neither excludes genres nor strictly follows them, as in this way the music is strongly connected to the musicians and their background and can carry honest, truthful emotions. Improvisation is an important part of his work. For Jonathan Casper Strauch, music is meditation that allows and requires him to be present in the moment.
